Are You Traveling Over Spring Break?
UK Transportation Services is once again offering free rides to regional airports for spring break.
Students, faculty, and staff can take advantage of free rides to and from Kroger Field to Blue Grass Airport (LEX), Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This service is offered in partnership with the Student Transportation Council.
Shuttles will leave campus on Friday, March 11, at 7:20 am. and 1 p.m. Riders should plan to arrive at their destination airport at least two hours before take-off.
Return trips from the airports to campus are scheduled for Sunday, March 20, at noon and 7 p.m.
Visit our website to sign up for a ride. Registration must be requested at least one day in advance. Riders will also be asked to wear a facial covering for the duration of the ride.
For students who need assistance getting to Kroger Field, Transportation Services recommends using the on-campus Blue or White Route that runs every 7-10 minutes. Service for the Blue and White Routes begins at 6:45 a.m.
Riders should leave their residence halls 30 minutes prior to their airport shuttle departure time to ensure they have plenty of travel time to catch the shuttle.
Those returning to campus after the break will be able to catch the weekend Yellow Route from Kroger Field to the greater campus area. The Yellow Route will run extended hours on Sunday, March 20, starting at 9 a.m. rather than noon.
