Student Permits
Full and part-time students who plan to park their vehicle on the University of Kentucky's campus must have a valid parking permit and park in designated areas. This requirement also extends to students who attend classes at the Bluegrass Community Technical College System (BCTC) and park near the BCTC campus location.
Summer 2024 Parking Permits
Summer parking permits will go on sale for students beginning on Monday, May 6. The permits cost $10.50 per week and can be purchased for the total number of weeks needed.
A valid UK parking permit is required when parking on campus over the summer. Summer parking enforcement will begin on Monday, May 13, and continue through Friday, August 9.

Student Permit Lottery
Occasionally, parking spaces become available in lots and garages throughout the year. UK Transportation Services maintains a real-time permit lottery or waitlist for UK students and employees who wish to park in specific areas. To request to be added to the waitlist, simply log into the Customer Account Manager, which will allow you to add or edit a lottery request. Only the permits for which you are eligible will show in the selection list, and you may have only one active waitlist request at a time.
Random drawings are held throughout the year for any spaces which become available, and award notification will be sent via email to the person whose name is chosen.
