UK Transportation Services promotes sustainable methods of transportation - everything from bikes to buses!
The University has a robust and growing bike culture and has earned national recognition as a Gold Level Bike Friendly University from the League of American Bicyclists.
UK also has a partnership with the Lexington Transit Authority (Lextran) to offer free campus buses. Students, staff, and faculty can also ride buses throughout the City of Lexington for free, simply by showing their Wildcard ID.
In addition, there are incentive programs to promote going car-free on campus, which helps the University decrease its environmental footprint and limits the need to build additional parking infrastructure.
