University-wide Navigation

Daily cleaning and disinfecting are an integral part of the regular responsibilities of the transit providers operating on the University of Kentucky campus.  However, these operators, including UK Transportation Services, Lextran and Republic Parking, have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, in an effort to prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Using products recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), employees are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting buses at both the start and end of shifts, with special emphasis placed on disinfecting high-touch surfaces, including, but not limited to, handrails, seats, grab bars and driver’s seat areas.  Drivers are additionally encouraged to spot clean and disinfect throughout their shift as needed and appropriate.

During this period, the University and our transit partners will continue to monitor and follow national guidelines and industry protocols concerning proper cleaning and disinfecting of campus buses.
