Two career fairs will take place next week in the Gatton Student Center. These events are expected to bring approximately 200 prospective employers to north campus and will impact parking availability on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The Engineering, Computer Science and STEM Career Fair will take place on Tuesday, followed by the Business, Communications, Liberal Arts and Humanities Career Fair on Wednesday.

The Gatton Student Center Visitor Lot will be reserved both days. In addition, 50 spaces in the Memorial Coliseum Lot will be reserved on Tuesday only.

UK employees may also notice an increase in visitor parking in the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) during these days. Impacted university employees may choose to park in other employee intermediate lots in the north campus area, including:

  • King Alumni Lots North & South, located off Linden Walk
  • Linden Walk Lot
  • Schmidt Lot, with an entrance off Rose Lane
  • Stuckert Career Center Lot
  • Scott Street area lots, including Scott Street, Taylor-Dickey, Reynolds, and Comers lots
  • South Limestone Garage (PS #5)

Employees should familiarize themselves with alternative parking options and plan their commute accordingly. Please visit this page to view all employee parking options.

The spring career fairs are a partnership between Engineering Career Development, the Graham Career Management Office in the Gatton College of Business and Economics and the Stuckert Career Center. See this story for more information about the fairs.
