Catch a Free Ride to the Airport!

UK Transportation Services is offering free rides to regional airports again this year for Thanksgiving break.

Students, faculty, and staff can take advantage of free rides to and from Kroger Field to Blue Grass Airport (LEX), Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This service is offered in partnership with the Student Transportation Council.

The shuttles will leave campus on Wednesday, November 24, at 7:20 am. and 1 p.m. Riders should plan to arrive at their destination airport at least two hours before take-off.

Return trips from the airports to campus are scheduled for Sunday, November 28, at noon and 7 p.m.

Visit our website to sign up for a ride. Registration must be requested at least one day in advance. Riders will also be asked to wear a facial covering for the duration of the ride.

For students who need assistance getting to Kroger Field, Transportation Services recommends using the on-campus Blue or White Route that runs every 7-10 minutes. Service for the Blue and White Routes begins at 6:45 a.m.

Riders should leave their residence halls 30 minutes prior to their airport shuttle departure time to ensure they have plenty of travel time to catch the shuttle.

Those returning to campus after the break will be able to catch the weekend Yellow Route from Kroger Field to the greater campus area. The Yellow Route will run extended hours on Sunday, November 28, starting at 9 a.m. rather than noon.

Regional airport shuttles will also be offered for winter break.
