University-wide Navigation

Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day and an official University of Kentucky holiday. As a result, many University offices – including UK Transportation Services -- will be closed for the day.  Campus bus service will also be impacted.

The Blue Route (Route 14) and the Green Route (Lextran 26) will operate on the typical modified holiday schedule of 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day. Many campus parking lots and structures will also be off control that day.

However, UK HealthCare clinical operations will remain open on Election Day, which means that patient/visitor parking areas will be necessary to support the typical daily patient/visitor parking needs.  As a result, UK HealthCare employees will not be authorized to park in patient and visitor parking areas prior to 4:30 p.m.

Due to the availability of additional campus parking options and reduced traffic congestion, the Orange Route (UK HealthCare) will continue to operate on the same schedule; however, only two to three buses will run from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and one bus from 9:30 p.m. until midnight.

The On-Demand Night Bus will operate as normal on Election Day, from midnight to 5 a.m. Call 859-257-7433 to make a pick-up request for the late-night shuttle.

For details about campus bus routes, see https://www.uky.edu/transportation/bus/campusshuttles.

Regular office hours will resume on Wednesday, November 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, all campus buses will return to normal operations on Wednesday.
