UK Transportation Services is opening the top deck of the garage -- located at the corner of South Limestone and Winslow – free-of-charge -- to any member of the University community with a valid UK parking permit. This year’s fireworks display will be held on Monday, July 4, starting at approximately 10 p.m. Fireworks will be released from the corner of Main Street and Oliver Lewis Way. Learn more about the city’s full day of Fourth of July events here.

Those planning to attend may enter the parking garage from the South Limestone or Upper Street sides. The entrance and exit gates will be open on Independence Day. Top deck lights will be turned off during the display to enhance the viewing experience.

Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and food and drinks are permitted. Food, beverage, and restroom facilities will also be available in Cornerstone Exchange, located on the first floor of Cornerstone Garage.

Grills, open fires, and all fireworks, including sparklers, are prohibited in the garage. Alcoholic beverages are also prohibited except in the designated Cornerstone Exchange areas served by Ethereal Brewing.  No animals are allowed, with the exception of service animals. The UK Police Department will be present to enforce these restrictions.
