Join the Bike Lexington Challenge

May is National Bike Month, and the UK Bicycle Advisory Committee is encouraging the campus community to participate in the annual Bike Lexington calendar of events.

The seventh annual Bike Challenge is one of the Lexington Bike Month events. This fun and free incentive-based cycling initiative is presented by the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Downtown Lexington Corporation and Love to Ride.

This year’s Bike Challenge utilizes Love to Ride, a web-based, user-friendly platform that allows for ride uploads and has the ability to sync with several popular ride tracking apps. It’s quick to register your department or unit team at www.lovetoride.net/lexington. If you have questions, contact the Bike Challenge Team.

Businesses and organizations of all sizes will compete to see who can log the most bicycle miles, highest number of rides and greatest percentage of participation during the month of May. All UK units are invited to participate and to form teams based on their departments. Unlike in past years, recreational rides will count as well as work and errand-related trips.

The competition runs through Tuesday, May 31.
