Kentucky Wildcab, the University’s free, late-night on-demand transportation service, will not be in operation over Thanksgiving Break, Nov. 28 through Dec. 1. The service will resume regular operation the following weekend, Thursday, Dec. 5, through Sunday, Dec. 8.

Kentucky Wildcab provides free transportation for students from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights when school is in session. Wildcab rides are limited to the general campus vicinity with the service area accommodating the majority of areas adjacent to campus.

Kentucky Wildcab is a popular option for students. So far this academic year, it has provided an average of 283 rides per weekend, comprising 657 passengers. This previous academic year, Kentucky Wildcab provided a total of 10,214 rides with 22,657 passengers.

The Wildcab service has four and six passenger vehicles and is intended to promote responsible late-night transportation decisions. KY Wildcab is provided by the Student Government Association with funding assistance by the Student Transportation Council and UK Transportation Services. It’s operated by UK Transportation Services.
