Winter Bike to Campus Day

Make Friday the 13th sweet instead of scary. Pedal over to our table during Winter Bike to Campus Day, set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 13, at Alumni Commons.

Cyclists can enjoy free hot chocolate, cookies, and swag! You must be on a bike or other form of micromobility to participate.

Wildcat Wheels’ mobile repair station will be on-site and available for quick tune-ups. Staff can also answer questions about bike programs.

“Winter Bike to Campus Day is an annual event, designed to celebrate commuters who choose micromobility options to get to, from, and around campus, especially during the winter,” said Joey Daniels, UK Transportation Services’ alternative transportation manager.

UK Transportation Services invests in campus bicycle infrastructure and services designed to make it easy and enjoyable for students and staff to choose cycling as a reliable commuting option. Most recently, the department opened a new Wildcat Wheels Bike Shop on the first floor of the Sports Center Garage.

Stop by Alumni Commons on Friday to meet the team and visit our website for cold-weather cycling tips.
