Free regional airport shuttles will run this year at the end of semester break, just in time to get you home for Thanksgiving.

This service is offered by University of Kentucky Transportation Services in partnership with the Student Transportation Council. Students, faculty and staff can take advantage of a free ride from Kroger Field to Blue Grass Airport (LEX), Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) for semester break.

The shuttles will leave campus on Wednesday, November 25, at 7:30 am. and 2:30 p.m. Riders should plan to arrive at their destination airport at least two hours before take-off.

Shuttles will operate at limited capacity to ensure safety as a result of COVID-19. Riders will also be asked to undergo a temperature check prior to boarding and to wear a mask for the duration of the trip.

Return trips from the airports to campus are scheduled for Sunday, January 24, 2021 at noon and 7 p.m.

Visit our website to sign up for a ride. Please note that registration must be requested at least one day in advance.

For students who need assistance getting to Kroger Field, Transportation Services recommends using the on-campus Blue Route that run every 7-10 minutes. Service for the Blue Route begins at 6:45 a.m.

Riders should leave their residence halls 30 minutes prior to their airport shuttle departure time to ensure they have plenty of travel time to catch the shuttle.

Those returning to campus after the break will be able to catch the weekend Yellow Route from Kroger Field to the greater campus area.
