Summer parking control on campus ends on Friday, August 12, which means that summer parking permits will not be valid after that date.

Beginning Saturday, August 13, and extending through Sunday, August 21, the Kroger Field Periphery (K) lots, R19 lots, and Remote (X) lots will not be controlled for parking permits. These lots are temporarily taken off control during this time to assist with student move-in. These lots will return to regular parking control on the first day of classes, Monday, August 22.

Residential (R) parking areas will be controlled for lot-specific permits starting on Saturday, August 13. These include: Rose Street Garage (R2), Cornerstone Garage (R5), Sports Center Garage and Complex Drive (R7), R10, R11, R12, R13, R14, R15, R17, R18, R29, R30 and R34. Residential lots are controlled for permits 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the academic year, unless otherwise posted.

Commuter (C) parking areas (C5, C7, C9 and C10) will require lot-specific parking permits starting on Monday, August 15.

Please see this map for more details about student parking and control times.

As a reminder, employee lots are controlled for employee permits year-round.

With summer parking control ending, the Rose Street Garage (PS #2) and the Sports Center Garage (PS #7) will also return to regular permit control beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 15. Portions of these structures are traditionally made available to any valid UK permit over the summer, when parking demand is lower. Beginning August 15, these structures will revert to authorized permits only.
