Railbird Festival Parking Available
The annual Railbird Festival will take place Saturday, May 31, through Sunday, June 1, at the Infield at Red Mile. This year, paid festival parking is available in select lots and structures on UK’s campus.
Festival goers can pay to park in the following areas, which are all located near Red Mile. These parking areas will open at 10 a.m. both days of the festival. Overnight parking is not authorized.
- A: Press Avenue North Lot
- B: Leader Avenue Lot
- C: Press Avenue South Lot
- D: Press Avenue Garage (PS #6)
Parking Fees:
- $50 on-site day of
- Cash will not be accepted; forms of payment are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay
- All sales are final.
These parking areas are located less than one mile from the infield. ADA-accessible parking is available, but please be aware that shuttles from the garage and surface lots will not be provided. If more proximate parking is needed, please visit the Railbird site.
UK employees who typically park in these areas have many other parking options on weekends. E27 permit holders are authorized to park in the Gazette Avenue Lot (E26) on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, if needed.
In addition, UK HealthCare employees may park in UK HealthCare facilities on weekends, per UK HealthCare’s parking regulations. Event parking is prohibited in UK Healthcare parking facilities.
