Reminder: Vehicular Traffic Not Permitted on Pedestrian Walkways

As a reminder, motorized vehicles are not permitted on campus pedestrian walkways, except for emergency and authorized service vehicles.

While several campus walkways are used as loading/unloading zones during designated student move-in periods, motorized vehicles are prohibited at all other times. Bicycles and e-scooter riders may use the walkways, but pedestrians retain the right of way and riders are asked to dismount and walk when the pathways are crowded.

Specific walkways of note include:

• The Woodland Glen pedestrian path located off Hilltop Avenue between Chellgren Hall and John T. Smith Hall.
• Pathway located off Hilltop Avenue between the 90 and Kirwan-Blanding residence hall, commonly referred to as the Avenue of Trees
• Pathway located off University Drive between Lewis Hall and University Flats, also commonly referred to as the Avenue of Trees
• Pathway located off Avenue of Champions between Roselle and Holmes halls
• Pathway located off Martin Luther King Bouleveard between Blazer Dining and Roselle Hall
• Pathway located off Martin Luther King Boulevard between Blazer Dining and Boyd Hall
