Traffic impacts are expected on Rose Street beginning as early as Monday, July 18.

Columbia Gas employees are scheduled to begin replacing gas mains and service lines along Rose Street as part of a larger area project. Primary impacts are expected in the vicinity of the Chi Omega House and the Hilary J. Boone Center. Columbia Gas employees expect to shut down one lane at a time in specific work areas. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic.

The campus Blue and White route bus service may also be impacted as a result of additional congestion in the area.

Cyclists should consider alternate routes for the duration of the project. Options could include Woodland Avenue and the Wildcat Walkway, located between the Gatton Student Center and the Singletary Center.

The on-campus portion of this project is expected to be completed by the end of the month, weather permitting.
