Are you planning to travel home for Thanksgiving but still need a ride?

BreakShuttle may be a good fit. This charter bus service enables students, staff, and faculty to take a bus from campus to their hometowns and other destinations during Thanksgiving and spring breaks.

BreakShuttle contracts with UK Transportation Services to provide the service, offering transportation for those who prefer not to fly or who need a last-minute, comfortable ride home.

Tickets are now on sale for Thanksgiving break travel along the following routes:

UK to Atlanta Route, with stops in:

  • Knoxville, TN
  • Chattanooga, TN.
  • Kennesaw, GA.

UK to Chicago, with stops in:

  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Merrillville, IN
  • Naperville, IL

UK to Medina, OH, with stops in:

  • Dayton, OH
  • Columbus, OH
  • Medina, OH

BreakShuttle allows people to purchase one-way tickets, so those interested in a return trip will also need to purchase a return trip option.

The buses are scheduled to depart from Kroger Field at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, and return to campus on Sunday, November 28.

Students can take the campus Blue or White Route to Kroger Field on the day of departure and then catch the weekend Yellow Route upon return.
