Sign Up Now for Winter Break Airport Shuttle Service

The end of the fall semester is just a couple of weeks away! If you plan to travel home by air over the break, take advantage of UK Transportation Services’ free regional airport shuttles.

Students, staff, and faculty can ride to and from Kroger Field to Blue Grass Airport (LEX), Louisville International Airport (SDF), and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This service is offered in partnership with the Student Transportation Council.

The shuttles will leave campus on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 am. and 1 p.m. Riders should plan to arrive at their destination airport at least two hours before take-off.

Return trips from the airports to campus are scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at noon and 7 p.m.

For students who need assistance getting to Kroger Field, Transportation Services recommends using the on-campus Blue or White Route that runs every 7-10 minutes. Service for the Blue and White routes begins at 6:45 a.m.

Riders should leave their residence halls 30 minutes prior to their airport shuttle departure time to ensure they have plenty of travel time to catch the shuttle.

Those returning to campus after the break will be able to catch the weekend Yellow Route from Kroger Field to the greater campus area. The Yellow Route will run extended hours on Sunday, Jan. 8, starting at 9 a.m. rather than noon.

Regional airport shuttles will also be offered for the spring 2023 break.
