Spring Break Transportation Changes
During spring break each year, University of Kentucky Transportation Services adjusts parking and campus bus services to reflect the needs of a temporarily reduced campus population. Below are details concerning these changes.
Parking Permit Control
From Monday, March 14, through Sunday, March 20, all employee (E) lots will remain on control as normal.
Most student lots will be adjusted during this time to require any valid UK parking permit. The following lots are exceptions: R2, R7, R17, R18, R19, R29 and R30. These lots will continue to be controlled for those specific permits.
Hourly parking payment is required as normal for all visitor pay lots and campus parking meters during spring break.
Student lots will resume normal enforcement beginning on Monday, March 21.
Campus Bus Routes
The Orange Route (UK Healthcare) will continue to run on normal schedule throughout spring break.
The campus Blue, White and Green routes will operate on a modified schedule of 6:45 am to 6 p.m. Monday, March 14, through Friday, March 18. All routes will return to normal operating hours beginning on Monday, March 21.
The weekend Yellow Route will not be in service on March 12-13, and on March 19, but will operate from 9 a.m. to midnight on Sunday, March 20. Normal operating hours of noon to midnight will resume on Saturday, March 26.
Kentucky Wildcab
Kentucky Wildcab will operate as usual on Thursday, March 10, but will not be in service March 11-12 or March 17-19. Normal Wildcab operations will resume on Thursday, March 24.
