Beginning Monday, Dec. 9, UK Transportation Services will offer 2020 student spring semester parking permits for sale online and on-site.

The following permits will be available: periphery (K),  off-peak (O), and C10 permits for Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) students who park at the Cooper campus. To learn more about parking permits in general, visit our website.

Online orders that are placed by noon on Thursday, Jan. 2, will be mailed. Orders placed after that time must be picked up in person at the Transportation Services’ office. Online sales will end at noon on Friday, Jan. 10, after which date all permits must be purchased in person.

UK Transportation Services will offer extended Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 11 and January 18, to aid students in getting their permits. UK Transportation Services is located in the Press Avenue Garage (PS #6), 721 Press Avenue. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please be aware that any outstanding parking citations must be paid before a new permit can be issued. Citations can be paid online or in person.

Eligible students who do not have a parking permit or who want to upgrade from a periphery (K) permit may submit a lottery request online for commuter (C) and residential (R) permits, provided they meet the eligibility requirements. Drawings are typically held two to three weeks after the beginning of each semester and notification is sent to lottery winners via email. Learn more about the lottery process here.

Spring semester off-peak (O) permits cost $80, while semester periphery (K) permits are $136 and semester C10 permits are $160.

The UK Transportation Services’ customer service center will be closed during winter break, December 23 through January 1, but online sales will be available during that time.
