Residential Periphery (RK) Permit Details
Sales Start Noon Monday, July 22
Residential Periphery (RK) permits are available for on-campus residents and provide a variety of parking options, including the Kroger Field Blue Lot, Commonwealth Drive lot, and the College Way East and West lots. These parking areas have direct access to the campus bus system.
RK permit holders may also choose to park in the Wildcat Court lots, but these lots do not have direct campus bus access and require a brief walk to the College Way South bus stop, located at the intersection of College Way and Wildcat Court.
RK permits authorize permit holders to park overnight on campus.
Residential students may also see other residential permit options when logging into their account. This could include R2, R7, R5, R10, or R16 permit types. If one or more of these permit options appear, the student may choose to purchase one of them instead of an RK permit.
Students in Greek housing may also purchase a RK permit, but cannot do so online. These students must purchase a RK permit over the phone or in person.
See this page for details about all residential permit types.
Commuter Periphery (CK) Permit Details
Sales Start Noon Tuesday, July 23
Commuter Periphery (CK) permits are available for off-campus commuters. Like RK permit holders, CK permit holders may park in the Kroger Field Blue lot, Commonwealth Drive lot, and the College Way East and West lots, which have direct access to the campus bus system.
CK permit holders may also park in the Wildcat Court lots, but these lots do not have direct campus bus access and require a brief walk to the College Way South stop, located at the intersection of College Way Drive and Wildcat Court.
CK permits are intended for daily commuting and do not authorize overnight parking. CK permit holders who park overnight in campus parking areas will be cited for each violation of this policy.
Students living in off-campus housing areas with insufficient parking accommodations may consider a Remote (X) permit if they need to park their vehicle on campus overnight.
Additional Parking Options During Off-Peak Hours
In addition to authorizing parking in the areas mentioned above, both RK and CK permits also authorize permit holders to park in most employee intermediate (E) parking areas after 3:30 p.m. and in most employee core areas after 5 p.m. However, please pay attention to any signage at the entry to parking areas and any additional control signage, curb markings and other parking control devices within these areas before parking, as there are some exceptions.
Also be aware that parking permits do not authorize parking in pay lots or at meters. If you park in a pay lot or at a meter, payment is required.
Please keep in mind that RK & CK permit holders must pay attention to relocation/no parking requirements for home football games. Please see this page for additional information.
Remote (X) Permits
Sales Start Noon Monday, July 22
A limited number of remote permits are available for on campus residential students. Remote permits are a cost-effective option for students who infrequently use their vehicles, but want to have them nearby.
Remote parking is located in the Greg Page and Shawneetown apartment area and is served by the campus Green Route, which provides access to campus via a bus transfer to the Blue and White routes at the Stadium Blue Lot bus shelter.
Off-Peak Permits
Sales Start Noon Tuesday, July 23
Off-peak permits are offered to students and employees who only desire to park on campus after 3:30 p.m. This permit provides the permit holder with convenient access during periods of low parking demand at a steeply discounted rate.

Permit renewal time also offers students a good opportunity to consider other methods of transportation to, from and around campus, rather than single occupancy vehicles. Transportation Services offers several attractive incentives to encourage both employees and students to consider sustainable options, such as biking, busing, walking or ride sharing. For details about these programs, visit the Sustainable Transportation section of our website.
