Thank You for Supporting Big Blue Pantry!

UK’s Big Blue Pantry is feeling the love! The campus community stepped up to support the Big Blue Pantry during UK Transportation Services’ Donations for Citations drive, held February 10-14.

Students and employees donated 1,648 pounds of food and personal care items during the one-week spring drive. In all, 280 people participated, helping to keep the Pantry’s shelves stocked.

Big Blue Pantry is an on-campus organization that works to combat hunger and food insecurity for UK students. The annual Donations for Citations drive lets people settle one regular ($30) parking citation by donating food or personal care items.

Since the program’s inception in 2016, the campus community has donated more than 33,500 pounds of food and personal care items through this annual food drive.

Once again, the UK community showed up in a big way," said Big Blue Pantry Director Andrew Perkins. "I hope everyone who donated knows that they helped make a positive difference in someone's life."
