Thanksgiving break is just around the corner! UK Transportation Services wants to remind students, staff, and faculty that during the break there will be parking and campus bus service changes.

Campus Buses

On Wednesday, November 24, the Blue and White Routes and the Green Route will operate on a modified schedule, ending at 6 p.m. rather than the normal midnight. The Orange Route (UK HealthCare) will operate on its regular schedule of 5 a.m. to midnight.

Beginning Thursday, November 25, through Saturday, November 27, campus buses and Kentucky Wildcab service will not be available. UK HealthCare employees working on these days are authorized to park in the patient visitor parking facilities in accordance with UK HealthCare’s policy.

On Sunday, November 28, the Yellow Route will have extended hours, from 9 a.m. to midnight. All other campus bus service will resume normal schedules beginning Monday, November 29.

Parking Control Changes

Campus parking lots and structures will not be controlled for permits on Thursday, November 25, through Sunday, November 28, but all other parking regulations will be enforced (ADA spaces, yellow lines, fire lanes, etc.).

Payment at surface visitor lots (student center and library) will be required on Wednesday, November 24, but not on Thursday, November 25, through Sunday, November 28.

Normal parking permit enforcement will resume on Monday, November 29.

The UK Transportation Services office, located at 721 Press Avenue, will be closed Thanksgiving Day through Sunday, November 28. Regular office hours -- 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- will resume on Monday, November 29.
