Transportation Services Receives Recognition for Paratransit Services

UK Transportation Services was recently recognized by UK Student and Academic Life with a Collaboration Award for its partnership with the UK Disability Resource Center on the Paratransit Program. The award was presented during a ceremony on April 17.

Paratransit Services is an on-campus transportation service for students and employees with temporary and permanent mobility impairments. The program is designed to assist in reaching classes, jobs, or other on-campus activities and is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. The service is provided in partnership with the UK Disability Resource Center (DRC)

Earlier in April, the DRC also presented Transportation Services with the Extra Mile Award, recognizing the department as an outstanding partner of the year. This is the second time Transportation Services has received this recognition from the DRC.
