Commuters should anticipate traffic impacts in the Winslow Street area beginning as early as the week of Monday, Jan. 27.

Contractors working on the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) addition project are expected to close one lane of Winslow Street to facilitate deployment of a crane necessary to install pre-cast panels on the north face of the garage expansion. This work is expected to take approximately two weeks.

During this time, the campus White Route buses will be rerouted from Winslow Street to High Street. Riders should expect some delay in service as a result. Commuters should also anticipate possible delays and use caution while travelling in this area.

Immediately following work on the garage expansion project, the City of Lexington will begin a major sanitary sewer project on north campus. This work will initially impact Winslow Street, but will extend to other streets in that vicinity as the project progresses. More details about the sanitary sewer project and its impact on traffic and bus routes will be available within the next week as details are finalized.
