Woodland Avenue Project May Cause Traffic Delays

Work to relocate a duct bank could begin as early as Tuesday along Woodland Avenue, between Sports Center Drive and Columbia Avenue. This project will impact traffic and pedestrian access in that area.

The northbound lane of Woodland Avenue will be closed to provide room for a dump truck and backhoe to be staged. Contractors will dig up an existing sidewalk to install the duct bank.

Two-way traffic is expected to be maintained, as northbound traffic will be shifted into the turn lane instead.

Please anticipate some delays in the area. Campus bus service may also be impacted, as the Blue, White and Yellow routes travel along that road. Pedestrians and cyclists should avoid the area and choose an alternate route, if possible.

Two employee parking spaces in the Woodland Avenue lot will also be unavailable, as contractors will install a trailer there for the duration of the project.

This work is expected to last from three to five weeks, weather permitting.
