Bus Route Service to New South Red Lot

UK employees have a new Orange Route bus stop option starting this week. The South Red Lot stop is located adjacent to the newly-designated employee periphery (EK) parking area in the South Red Lot.

The South Red Lot stop is serviced from 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday. Employees who park in this area and require bus service prior to 8 a.m. are encouraged to either park and walk or park in the Orange Lot. As an alternative, employees also have the option to ride either Blue or White Route buses, which begin service at 6:45 a.m. weekdays. Blue and White Route buses pick up nearby at the West Blue Lot Shelter.

Both Blue and White routes buses have convenient stops near UK HealthCare facilities, with the Blue Route stopping at Chandler Hospital and the White Route at Seaton Center.

UK Transportation Services will regularly evaluate route performance during the first few weeks of classes and may adjust service hours at the South Red Lot Stop if demand exists.
