Campus Bus Routes

Due to unexpected flooding, Alumni Gym in the Gatton Student Center is temporarily closed, and all programming has been suspended. The University is working to repair the gym as quickly as possible, and will communicate as soon as plans for reopening are established.

In the meantime, students are encouraged to use the Johnson Recreation Center to maintain their fitness schedules.

Robust campus bus service is available to help students on north campus quickly access the Johnson Center Gym area. Bus service is ADA-accessible and includes a bi-directional Blue and White route that connects all parts of campus, operating from 6:45 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday.

Please see the above graphic for pertinent bus stops. Riders are also encouraged to use the smartphone app, Transit, which provides detailed information on routes, as well as real-time location for all campus buses.

Guidance on how to navigate the UK bus service to help you get quickly to the Johnson Center is below.

North campus students wishing to go to the Johnson Center can board buses at the Gatton Student Center stop located on Avenue of Champions in front of the bookstore entrance.

Blue Route buses will connect riders to the Johnson Center via the Hospital Drive bus stop, located on the west side of University Drive at Complex Drive. When traveling back to north campus, riders can take the White Route, which picks up at the Seaton Center bus stop and then drops off at the Jewell Hall stop.

On weekends, students can use these same bus stops to connect between north campus and the Johnson Center area via the Yellow Route, which operates from noon to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.
