Good Samaritan Hospital Garage to Close Temporarily
Contractors are scheduled to begin routine preventative maintenance work in Good Samaritan Hospital Garage in early July. This work will require closure of most of the structure starting on Wednesday, July 2, through Sunday, July 6.
This project is being done over the Independence Day holiday to minimize the impact to patients, patient visitors, and permit holders. While the garage is scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, July 7, please be aware that this work is weather dependent.
Current plans call for Level C of the garage to close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, allowing exiting traffic only. By 8 p.m. that day, levels C through F will be closed and will remain so throughout the project.
Permit Holder Details:
E4 Permit Holders:
Levels A and B will remain open and available to patients and reserved (E4) permit holders will still have access to Level A. E4 permit holders may also park in the signed E4 spaces near the Medical Office Building, signed spaces in the Professional Arts Center Lot, and in the signed spaces in the emergency department surface lot.
E4 Upper Permit Holders:
Employees with E4 Upper permits who park on the upper levels of the garage should make alternate parking plans.
Employee Intermediate, Employee Periphery, & Off-Peak UKHC Permit Holders
Employees with these permit types who park in the garage after 4:30 p.m. in the evenings and over the weekend should make alternate parking plans.
Employee parking options include:
- Cornerstone Garage (PS #5)
- Memorial Coliseum Lot
- High Street Lot
- Maxwell Street Lot
- Professional Arts Center Lot (available for employee parking Friday, July 4, through Sunday, July 6.)
The entire Warren Court Lot (E-intermediate) will not be an option for permit holders during this project, as that lot will be reserved for patients and patient visitors.
