Hilltop Avenue Garage Maintenance Work to Start Monday

Contractors are expected to begin resurfacing and restriping work in Hilltop Avenue Garage (PS #2), as early as this coming Monday, June 10. Most of the work will take place on level two of the structure, and contractors will complete the project in phases.
 
Work will begin on the east side of level 2 on Monday. Approximately 97 spaces will be unavailable in that area through the end of June.
 
Once work on the east side is complete, resurfacing and restriping will begin on the west side. This phase is expected to commence in early July and continue through early August, with approximately 117 spaces unavailable.
 
Signage will be installed in the structure to alert permit holders of changes to traffic flow. The level two ramp will be changed to two-way traffic during this timeframe. Permit holders should stay to the right side as they traverse the level two ramp, as there may be vehicles coming down at the same time.
 
In addition, Hilltop Avenue Garage will be mostly unavailable around Independence Day, from Wednesday, July 3, through Monday, July 8. Only the first level of the structure will be available for parking during these dates, with the remainder of the structure being closed.
 
Additional maintenance projects, such as painting in stairwells and cleaning the exterior brick, will be on-going throughout the summer months. This work is expected to have limited impact to permit holders.
 
Hilltop Avenue Garage (PS #2) rarely fills to capacity during the summer months, so most permit holders should be able to continue to find space in the structure, except for July 3-8.
