Holiday Update: Parking & Transit

Campus parking and bus schedules will change in observance of Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19. Juneteenth is an official University holiday.

Campus Bus Routes

Campus bus routes, including the Blue and White routes (Lextran 14), the Green Route, and the Orange Route (UK HealthCare Route) will not be in service on Thursday, but will resume their regular summer schedules on Friday, June 20.

Parking on Juneteenth

Many campus parking lots will be off control on Juneteenth. With the reduced demand for parking, students and employees may take advantage of additional parking options that day.

However, even when lots are not controlled for permits, they are still monitored for other parking violations, such as parking in fire lanes, parking on yellow lines, and unauthorized parking in ADA-accessible areas.

UK HealthCare (UKHC) employees may also take advantage of proximate employee lots on this holiday, following UKHC’s policy. 

The UK Transportation Services' Customer Service Center will be closed on Juneteenth. Regular office hours -- 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- will resume on Friday, June 20. UK Transportation Services is located at 721 Press Avenue.
