Upcoming Parking Impact: Good Samaritan Hospital Garage

Contractors are scheduled to begin repairs in Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) Garage late this month, requiring a temporary closure.

Closure Dates and Work Details
The garage is expected to close for approximately four weeks, from Friday, June 26, through Friday, July 24. Repairs will include shoring, concrete work, and exterior cleaning and coating.

Work will begin on the lower levels and move upward, which may allow the lower floors to reopen in phases. If this happens, permit holders will be notified.

While the garage is closed, permit holders may use alternate parking locations based upon their permit type. Please see below for details.

E4 Reserved Permit Holders
E4 reserved permit holders, including those with other permit types who have E4 reserved access, may park in the following areas:

• Signed E4 spaces in the Medical Office Building Lot
• Signed E4 spaces in the Warren Court Lot
• Signed E4 spaces in the Professional Arts Center Lot (additional spaces have been added)
• Signed E4 spaces in the GSH emergency department lot

E4U Core Permit Holders
Employees with E4U core permits, including those with other permit types who have E4 core access, may park in the following locations during this project:

• Cornerstone Garage (PS #5). Those who prefer to walk the short distance to GSH can choose to park in the new expansion area closest to Winslow Street and GSH. Employees who prefer to ride the employee shuttle can park anywhere in the structure. Shuttles will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will pick-up and drop off adjacent to South Limestone on the southern side of Cornerstone Garage. (Please see graphic for the shuttle drop off and pick-up location.) The shuttle number is 859-621-0418.
• Memorial Coliseum Lot
• High Street Lot

Employee Intermediate, Employee Periphery, and Off-Peak UKHC Permit Holders
Employees who typically park in the GSH garage during off-peak hours (after 4:30 p.m. weekdays and on weekends) may park in the following areas:

• Cornerstone Garage (PS #5)
• Memorial Coliseum Lot
• High Street Lot

Warren Court Lot
The Warren Court Lot will not be available for employee intermediate permit holder parking during this project. This lot will be reserved for patients and patient visitors.

ADA-Accessible Permit Holders
Level B of the garage will remain accessible to ADA-accessible and emergency department patients.
