Upcoming Parking Impact: Kentucky Tobacco Center Lot
Project: Central Utility Project & Milling, Paving & Striping Work
Areas Impacted: Kentucky Tobacco Center Lot & Section of Veterans Drive
The Kentucky Tobacco Center Lot, adjacent to the Kentucky Tobacco Research Center on south campus, will be the site of utility work associated with the Central Utility Plant, as well as milling, paving and restriping starting on Monday, Nov. 9.
The paving work will last approximately one week, through November 13. However, the utility-related work is expected to continue beyond that date. Both projects are weather dependent.
The southernmost entrance to the area off University Drive will be unavailable for one week, whereas the northernmost entrance will be for construction vehicles only.
Access to the loading dock behind the Tobacco Research Center will be unavailable November 9-13, but will reopen after that date.
Employee intermediate permit holders should make plans to park elsewhere during this time, such as the Kroger Field Orange Lot or the North and South Red lots.
