Upcoming Parking Impacts: Ag Greenhouses & Ag Science Area
Project: Albert B. Chandler Hospital Expansion & Parking Structure #10
Areas Impacted: Ag Greenhouse East, Portion of Veterans Drive, & Ag Science Lot South
Employee intermediate (E) permit holders who typically park around the agricultural greenhouses near Hospital Drive should expect intermittent parking-related impacts starting on Monday, May 11. In addition, some parking spaces along Veterans Drive near University Drive Garage (PS #1), will also be unavailable during that time. However, University Drive Garage will remain accessible.
Contractors will start collecting geotechnical drilling samples on Monday, weather permitting, and continue throughout the week. Parking spaces will be closed on an as-needed basis, depending upon where the drilling rig is located. Not all spaces will be unavailable at the same time.
A second drilling project in the same vicinity is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 14, and continue for one week, through May 20, weather permitting. Primary impacted parking areas will be the Agriculture Science Lot South, and the Agriculture Greenhouse Area East.
Not all parking spaces will be unavailable at the same time, and the spaces will be reopened as the drilling rig is moved. Please see the above graphic for details and dates.
The primary parking impact for both projects will take place on Thursday, May 14.
Individuals traveling in these areas should expect minor traffic-related impacts and exercise caution.
Employees with E-intermediate permits can consider other parking areas during this time, including University Drive Garage (PS #1), and the Kroger Field Orange, Green, Red, and Blue lots.
