MLK Blvd. Closure

Parking permit holders should anticipate upcoming impacts to traffic and parking on North campus starting as early as Monday, September 30. Please see below for details: 

  • A portion of South Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed in both directions on Monday. This closure will also impact sidewalk access in that area as well as several service parking spaces. This temporary closure is necessary to facilitate delivery of a crane. Access onto Martin Luther King Blvd. from East Maxwell Street will not be available on Monday. 
  • The Stuckert Career Center will hold a Grad Chat series next week that will impact parking in the Career Center Lot. The series will take place Monday, September 30, through Wednesday, October 2. In all, 24 spaces will be unavailable during this time, including 18 employee intermediate (E), one ADA, two loading zone, 17 visitor spaces, and two motorcycle spaces. Impacted employee intermediate (E) permit holders may park in other nearby lots, including the King Alumni Lot, Schmidt Lot, and Linden Walk Lot.
  • Fourteen (14) employee intermediate (E) parking spaces in the Whalen Lot, located off Colfax Street, will be unavailable on Tuesday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 2. Impacted employee intermediate (E) permit holders may park in the Scott Street area lots or Cornerstone Garage (PS #5).
