Upcoming Traffic & Pedestrian Impact: Administration Drive

Project/Event: Roof Repair at Gatton Student Center
Area Impacted: Portion of Administration Drive

Administration Drive North, from the Patterson Drive intersection to South Limestone, will be closed on Friday, Sept. 4, and Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Contractors are scheduled to install a crane on Administration Drive near the entrance to the Gatton Student Center Harris Ballroom to begin roof repairs on the center. This project is weather dependent, so closure dates could change slightly.

This closure includes the adjacent parallel parking spaces on North Administration Drive. 

During this time, motorists traveling from South Limestone onto Administration Drive will need to detour onto Patterson Drive and exit onto Rose Street. (See above graphic.)

Pedestrian access through the Cornerstone Garage pedway will not be affected. However, pedestrians will not be able to access Frazee Hall from the front sidewalk or the Student Center Harris Ballroom entrance on Friday and Tuesday. The ADA-accessible ramp to Frazee Hall will remain accessible via the ground-floor entrance on the rear side of the student center.

The crane will be removed at the end of each workday, and normal vehicle and pedestrian access will be restored during the weekend and on Labor Day.
