Railbird Festival Parking Available

The annual Railbird Festival will take place Saturday, May 31, through Sunday, June 1, at the Infield at Red Mile. This year, paid festival parking is available in select lots and structures on UK’s campus.Festival goers can pay to park in the following areas, which are all located near Red Mile. These parking areas will open at 10 a.m. both days of the festival. Overnight parking is not authorized.

Admin Drive Closure

Milling and paving work is set to begin on Admin Drive on Friday, May 30, and will continue through Saturday, May 31. During this period, drivers will not be able to turn onto Admin Drive at the attendant booth. Instead, please turn onto Patterson Drive from Rose Street and then exit right onto South Limestone. Please note that South Limestone is one-way traffic when exiting. We ask that you exercise caution in the area. 

Upcoming Impact to Huguelet Drive

Kentucky American Water Company is scheduled to replace a water line on Huguelet Drive starting as early as Monday, June 2. The roadway will be closed to thru traffic from Rose Street to University Drive from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, for up to five weeks.  During the daytime, contractors will install steel plates on the roadway to allow traffic to proceed as usual. The sidewalk on the north side of Huguelet Drive will remain open and available.

Employee Permit Sales Start Wednesday, May 21

2025-2026 employee intermediate (E) and employee periphery (EK) parking permits will be available for purchase starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21.Please log into your customer account to make the purchase or visit our customer service center in person. UK Transportation Services is located at 721 Press Avenue, on the first floor of Press Avenue Garage.
