Hilltop Avenue Garage Maintenance

The Hilltop Garage will be undergoing scheduled maintenance beginning Wednesday, July 3.  Contractors will be resurfacing and restriping on level two, as well as completing other maintenance projects, such as painting in stairwells and cleaning the exterior brick. The vehicle entrance to the Hilltop Avenue Garage will close beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. All vehicles must be removed by 8 p.m. The garage will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday, July 8.

Shively Lot (C16 & R16) to Temporarily Close

The Shively (C16 & R16) parking lot will temporarily close starting this Wednesday, June 26.

UK Transportation Services has two exciting options for you if you don’t own a bike or if you can’t bring yours to campus this fall. Big Blue Cycles Big Blue Cycles is a fleet of more than 150 bicycles available exclusively to students who live in campus housing and sign a one-year car-free commitment. Students selected for this program will have the bicycle for the entire academic year.

If you’re intrigued by the idea of going car-free on campus, check out UK Transportation Services’ incentives programs, designed to encourage sustainable transportation choices. Applications for Bike Vouchers and the Cash Out program are now open. Both programs reward students and employees for their decision to go car-free.

Hilltop Avenue Garage Maintenance Work to Start Monday

Contractors are expected to begin resurfacing and restriping work in Hilltop Avenue Garage (PS #2), as early as this coming Monday, June 10. Most of the work will take place on level two of the structure, and contractors will complete the project in phases. Work will begin on the east side of level 2 on Monday. Approximately 97 spaces will be unavailable in that area through the end of June. 

Upcoming Events to Impact Parking & Traffic

Events on and near campus through June 5 will result in increased traffic and parking demands. UK parking permit holders should plan accordingly.
