South Campus Projects to Impact Traffic

Two projects will impact traffic on south campus starting this Friday, March 22. The first project will take place in the Kroger Field lot and involves the closure of a roadway that connects the Red Lot to the Green Lot, in the vicinity of Gate 4. This roadway will be closed to traffic Friday through Sunday.

While UK is both bikeable and e-scooter friendly, it’s important to follow established safety protocols while riding in this busy environment. Safety guidelines go well beyond proper riding etiquette and can make a significant difference in your personal safety.Below are some guidelines:

UK to Host T2 Reconnect Conference

University of Kentucky Transportation Services will host a T2 Reconnect Conference this Wednesday, March 13, at the Healthy Kentucky Research Building. More than a dozen parking and transportation-related organizations from the region will be on-site to learn how UK Transportation Services is utilizing state-of-the-art parking technologies, and to take advantage of networking and educational opportunities.

Singletary Center Lot Impact this Friday & Saturday

The Singletary Center for the Arts parking lot will be unavailable on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, to accommodate two upcoming events.A total of 33 parking spaces will be impacted, including 27 employee intermediate spaces, one ADA space, three loading zone spaces, and two service area spaces. 

Access to Cooper Drive Pedway to be Impacted

Repair work to the exterior stairway located on the southeast side of the Charles Barnhart Building is scheduled to begin as early as this afternoon. This project will impact access to the Cooper Drive Pedway. Access to the pedway from the Orange Lot will remain available by entering the ground floor of the Barnhart Building and taking the elevator to the second floor. However, please be aware that the Barnhart Building closes at 6 p.m.

HireBlue Career Fairs to Impact Parking, Traffic on North Campus

The James W. Stuckert Career Center will hold two HireBlue Career Fairs in the Gatton Student Center this week, which will impact parking and traffic on north campus.

Cold weather may still have a grip on Kentucky, but our thoughts are turning toward spring! Students, faculty, and staff can now register for spring break airport shuttle service.

Annex #5 Lot & Kelley Hall Service Area to Close

The Annex 5 Lot, an employee intermediate surface lot located between Kelley Hall and Medical Center Annex #5, is expected to permanently close on Monday, February 19. The adjacent Kelley Hall service parking area will also close to allow for construction of the Michael D. Rankin M.D. Health Education Building.  This closure will impact 41 parking spaces; 24 employee intermediate spaces and 17 loading, service, and official vehicle spaces. Contractors are expected to begin installing gates and perimeter fencing on February 19. 

Expect Traffic Impacts on South Limestone on Thursday

The left-most lane of South Limestone adjacent to Cornerstone Garage (PS #5) will be temporarily closed on Thursday, February 8.
