Motorists should expect traffic impacts on Sports Center Drive and Complex Drive early Wednesday morning.
Contractors will be pouring concrete for the Sports Center Drive Garage expansion project. A concrete truck will be staged temporarily in the roadway, between the garage and Complex Drive. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic.
This work is expected to take place from 12:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday. Please exercise caution while traveling in the area.
Contractors are scheduled to begin routine preventative maintenance work in Good Samaritan Hospital Garage in early July. This work will require closure of most of the structure starting on Wednesday, July 2, through Sunday, July 6.
This project is being done over the Independence Day holiday to minimize the impact to patients, patient visitors, and permit holders. While the garage is scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, July 7, please be aware that this work is weather dependent.

Campus parking and bus schedules will change in observance of Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19. Contractors are scheduled to begin routine maintenance work in Hilltop Avenue Garage next week. As a result, vehicles will not be able to enter the structure starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, and all permit holders must relocate their vehicles out of Hilltop Avenue Garage prior to 7 p.m. that day. The garage remain closed through Sunday, June 22.
Contractors working in the Kentucky Clinic Garage (PS #3) have identified additional work that must be done in that structure, which will extend the completion date.As a result, a portion of the Kentucky Clinic Garage is expected to remain closed through Sunday, June 15.During recent routine maintenance, contractors discovered that repairs were required to the level 6 driving surface, necessitating the closure of level 6 (top), the ramp up to level 6, and a portion of level 5.
Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA) tennis competitions will take place on campus on Tuesday, June 3, and Wednesday, June 4. These matches will impact traffic and parking on south campus.The following lots will be available for event attendees:
The annual Railbird Festival will take place Saturday, May 31, through Sunday, June 1, at the Infield at Red Mile. This year, paid festival parking is available in select lots and structures on UK’s campus.Festival goers can pay to park in the following areas, which are all located near Red Mile. These parking areas will open at 10 a.m. both days of the festival. Overnight parking is not authorized.
Milling and paving work is set to begin on Admin Drive on Friday, May 30, and will continue through Saturday, May 31. *Weather dependent
During this period, drivers will not be able to turn onto Admin Drive at the attendant booth. Instead, please turn onto Patterson Drive from Rose Street and then exit right onto South Limestone.
