2019-2020 Employee Parking Permits Expire on Tuesday, June 30

2019-2020 employee parking permits will expire on Tuesday, June 30. New permits must be displayed no later than Wednesday, July 1.

Student Commuter Permit Sales Start Noon Wednesday

Student commuter (C) permits will go on sale at noon on Wednesday, June 24, for returning students (those who previously had a commuter permit). This priority pre-sale window is available until noon Monday, July 6, on a first come, first served basis.

Residential Permit Sales Start June 23 for Returning Students

Student residential permits will go on sale beginning at noon on Tuesday, June 23, for returning UK students with a 2020-2021 campus housing assignment. This priority pre-sale window is available until noon on Monday, July 6, on a first come, first served basis. Returning students (those who had a residential permit last year) can purchase permits online by logging into their customer account using their linkblue username and password.

Our Customer Service Center is Open

UK Transportation Services’ Customer Service Center has reopened to walk-ins from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. For your convenience, most of our services are available online or by telephone, and should still be used as a first option. However, we do understand that there is sometimes a need for in-person office visits due to the complexities of individual situations or the urgency of need.   

2020-2021 Employee Parking Permit Renewals Now Open

Online employee intermediate (E) and periphery (EK) parking permit renewals are now available. Please log in to your customer account at www.uky.edu/transportation to make the purchase. Permits purchased online will be mailed to your home mailing address. Please pay special attention to the preferred mailing address when renewing your permit to ensure it is your home address, rather than a University office address.

Planning a Two-Wheeled Commute on Campus?

Do you need two-wheeled transportation when you arrive on campus this fall? Consider Big Blue Cycles or Semester Bike Rentals, two free programs designed to get you moving. Applications for both are now open. Big Blue Cycles The Big Blue Cycles program is a fleet of more than 150 bicycles available exclusively to students living in campus housing who sign a one year car-free commitment. Students selected for this program will have the bicycle for the entire academic year.

Summer Permits Available for Purchase

Student summer parking permits are currently available for purchase by calling the UK Transportation Services’ customer service center at 859-257-5757.

Project to Impact Parking, Traffic in Rose Street Garage

The installation of electrical and communication duct banks is expected to impact traffic flow and parking in the Rose Street Garage (PS #2) beginning Wednesday morning. Work is anticipated to start as early as 7 a.m. and personnel are scheduled to be on site to assist permit holders. Parking impacts are expected to be minimal, although traffic flow patterns in the structure will change. The project is expected to last approximately three weeks.

Power Outage Planned for University Drive Garage

A brief electrical power outage is scheduled for the University Drive Garage (PS #1) from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20. This planned outage will allow contractors to install a new electrical meter in the area. The structure should have ample natural light for parking purposes, but the elevators will not be in operation during this time.
