Two projects will impact traffic on south campus starting this Friday, March 22. The first project will take place in the Kroger Field lot and involves the closure of a roadway that connects the Red Lot to the Green Lot, in the vicinity of Gate 4. This roadway will be closed to traffic Friday through Sunday.
The Singletary Center for the Arts parking lot will be unavailable on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, to accommodate two upcoming events.A total of 33 parking spaces will be impacted, including 27 employee intermediate spaces, one ADA space, three loading zone spaces, and two service area spaces.
The James W. Stuckert Career Center will hold two HireBlue Career Fairs in the Gatton Student Center this week, which will impact parking and traffic on north campus.
The Annex 5 Lot, an employee intermediate surface lot located between Kelley Hall and Medical Center Annex #5, is expected to permanently close on Monday, February 19. The adjacent Kelley Hall service parking area will also close to allow for construction of the Michael D. Rankin M.D. Health Education Building. This closure will impact 41 parking spaces; 24 employee intermediate spaces and 17 loading, service, and official vehicle spaces. Contractors are expected to begin installing gates and perimeter fencing on February 19.
UK Transportation Services’ Customer Service Center will be closed on Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. MLK Jr. Day is an official University holiday.
Campus parking and transportation changes considerably over winter break. This year, winter academic break begins on Saturday, December 16, and runs through Sunday, January 7, 2024. Winter break holiday for UK staff will span Monday, December 25, through Monday, January 1, 2024.
Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner, and UK Transportation Services wants to remind students, staff, and faculty that during the break there will be parking and campus bus service changes.
