Bike Voucher Application Deadline Extended to July 14 As announced in April, University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) is renewing their bike voucher program. This program encourages members of the campus community to consider alternatives to driving a vehicle to campus.

Wildcat Wheels Spring Semester Bike Lottery Now Open The Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library spring semester bicycle lottery is now open. Wildcat Wheels has a fleet of 100 bicycles that can be checked out for a full semester at a time; the service is free for members of the campus community. Since demand for these bikes often exceeds supply, the bikes are awarded through a random lottery.

Winter Bike to Campus Day Celebrates Cyclists For many, cold weather doesn’t mean the end of getting to, from and around campus on two wheels. On Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. on the Funkhouser Lawn, bike commuters will be recognized at the first Winter Bike to Campus Day, presented by University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) and the UK Bicycle Advisory Committee.

Portion of Alumni Drive Shared Use Path Temporarily Closing March 16 A small segment of the Alumni Drive shared use path will temporarily close due to construction work on Thursday, March 16. This construction is in support of the baseball stadium relocation project. During the project, cyclists and pedestrians may access the bike lane adjacent to the closed portion of the path via a temporary path. The path closure is expected to last no more than a week. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and the timetable may change.
