Home Football Game Schedule Change to Impact Permit Holders

The University of Kentucky's home football game against the University of Georgia Bulldogs has been rescheduled from this Saturday, October 24, to Saturday, October 31. UK’s first home football game will be on Saturday, October 3, against the Ole Miss Rebels. While football games this year will have reduced fan capacity and no tailgating as a result of COVID-19, some permit holders will still need to relocate their vehicles to make way for Wildcat fans. Students and employees who park in the following areas should move their vehicles prior to 7 a.m. on home football game days:

Bird E-Scooters are on Campus!

Bird e-scooters have just arrived on campus and in the City of Lexington, following a brief delay to finalize permit agreements. This company’s e-scooters are now deployed at bike racks throughout campus and are available for quick trips.

Labor Day Parking & Campus Transportation Update

Labor Day will look a little different for UK Transportation Services this year, in keeping with the University’s schedule for a condensed semester. All campus transportation services will operate on typical weekday schedules and regular weekday parking rules will be enforced on Monday, September 7. Below are some transportation-related specifics regarding Labor Day:

Win a Free Bicycle or Free Burritos for a Year!

If you couldn’t make it to our K-Week introduction to bicycling on campus, you can still watch the recorded broadcast here. And if you'd love a chance to win a brand new bicycle or free burritos for a year, there's still time to enter!

College Way & Sports Center Drive to be Repaved

Crews are expected to begin milling and repaving portions of College Way and Sports Center Drive as early as next week. Traffic will be maintained, but motorists and bicyclists should exercise caution and anticipate possible delays in these areas.   Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic. The campus Green Route, which travels both Sports Center Drive and College Way, will continue to operate, as normal.   Access will also be maintained to the COVID testing site on College Way and to the College Way West lot for the duration.

Need a Ride? Catch a Kentucky Wildcab!

Kentucky Wildcab, the University’s free, late-night on-demand transportation service, is now in operation. Kentucky Wildcab provides free transportation for students from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Expect Traffic Impacts on North Campus Starting Monday

Winslow Avenue will be temporarily closed to traffic beginning Monday, August 24, through Saturday, August 29, weather permitting.   This closure will allow Kentucky American Water Company to continue its work in that area, as well as enable contractors to deliver windows for installation in the Cornerstone Garage (PS #5).   Commuters who wish to access Upper Street from South Limestone next week can do so by turning left onto Pine Street.
