Settle a Citation by Stocking the Shelves at Big Blue Pantry!

Donations for Citations, a popular program that helps stock the shelves at UK’s Big Blue Pantry, will take place beginning Monday, March 1, through Friday, March 12. UK students and employees who have a parking citation can pay their fee during this two-week period by donating food or personal care items to Big Blue Pantry. This will be the sixth year that UK Transportation Services has partnered with the on-campus food pantry that works to combat hunger and food insecurity for UK students.

KY Wildcab Service Unavailable Thursday Due to Winter Weather

Kentucky Wildcab, a free, late night on-demand transportation option for UK students, will not be in service this Thursday evening. The University cancelled in-person classes today due to inclement winter weather, which resulted in ice-covered roads and pedestrian walkways. Kentucky Wildcab is designed to provide a ride home to UK students and their guests while promoting responsible late-night transportation decisions. The service operates primarily using student drivers.

Temporary Road Closure on Veterans Drive

Veterans Drive will be closed to thru traffic and parking between Complex and Hospital drives beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 5, through Sunday, February 7. This closure will affect nine ADA spaces in that area. The road closure is necessary to install a crane to remove demolished cooling towers and pipes at UK Cooling Plant #1. Veteran's Drive loop will remain open during this time. Additional ADA-accessible parking is available in the Orange Lot immediately adjacent to the bus shelter.

COVID Vaccination Clinic Parking for Veterans

Veterans from across Kentucky are scheduled to receive their second COVID-19 vaccination at the VA Hospital on Veteran's Drive February 6-8. These veterans are 65 years of age and older and many are unfamiliar with the University of Kentucky's campus.

Our Five-Year Bicycle Master Plan is Taking Shape!

UK Transportation Services is updating the University’s campus Bicycle Master Plan, and we’re excited to share with you what we’ve learned so far! Motorist Assistance Services & Vehicle Impoundment Fees

UK Transportation Services and the University of Kentucky recently signed a new contract with the Lexington-based company, Roberts Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery, that provides for discounted motorist assistance services in addition to supporting campus towing operations.

Spring Semester Parking & Transit Updates

The University of Kentucky is ready to welcome students back to campus for the spring semester, with move-in set for this weekend. As a result, there will be some changes to parking and transit operations beginning on Monday, January 25. Parking All student and employee parking lots and structures will return to normal parking control on Monday, January 25.

Upcoming Saturday Office Hours Planned

UK Transportation Services will have special Saturday office hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 23 to make it easier for students and staff to pick up or purchase a parking permit. Regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our customer service center is located at 721 Press Avenue, in the Press Avenue (PS #6) Garage. These Saturday hours are intended to assist UK students and employees who are unable to visit the office during regular business hours.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Transit Changes

The UK Transportation Services’ Customer Service Center will be closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The campus Blue, Green and Orange (UK HealthCare) routes will also be unavailable on that day. All bus routes will resume regular service hours on Tuesday, January 19.
