Motorist Assistance Services for Fall & Winter

What should you do if your automobile suddenly leaves you stranded? It pays to be prepared. UK Transportation Services offers free jumpstarts as well as additional discounted motorist assistance services for students, staff and faculty. ParkMobile is Available on Campus

Did you know that you can pay for hourly parking on campus via the ParkMobile app? You don’t have to feed the meter, just access the app on your phone and pay from your vehicle. Just last year, ParkMobile and UK Transportation Services created a partnership that enables visitors, students, staff, and faculty to skip the meter and pay by a contactless payment service, available at the W. T. Young Library and Gatton Student Center visitor lots and many parking meters campus wide.

Travel Options for Academic Breaks

The 2021-2022 academic year has just begun, but it’s not too early to start thinking about travel options for Thanksgiving break and beyond. UK Transportation Services offers two options for students who plan to travel during academic breaks:  BreakShuttle and Free Regional Airport Shuttles. BreakShuttle

Parking Impact in King Alumni South Lot

Thirty (30) employee-intermediate (E) spaces in the King Alumni South Lot will be unavailable beginning this Thursday morning, September 9, through Sunday afternoon, September 12. A tent is being installed in the lot for an upcoming event.    Employees can park in other nearby areas, including the King Alumni North Lot, Career Center Lot, Schmidt Lot, and Linden Walk Lot. The College View and Memorial Coliseum lots are also located in the vicinity.

Fly Over to Bird's Launch Event, Set for Thursday

Bird, the shared electric scooter company, will host a free event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, at Wildcat Alumni Plaza. Those who attend can learn how to Bird and also snag some swag! Free helmets and safety cards will be distributed, along with free ride demos and tutorials. Wildcat Alumni Plaza is located off Avenue of Champions by the Bowman Statue.

Campus Bus & Parking Update for Labor Day

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, most campus bus routes will not operate on Monday, September 6. This will include the Blue and White Routes (Lextran 14), the Green Route and the Orange Route (UK HealthCare Route).

Vehicle Relocation Required for Home Football Games

It’s time to hustle, hit and win! UK’s football season opens Saturday, September 4, with a game against the University of Louisiana at Monroe. For some parking permit holders, this means it’s time to relocate their vehicles to accommodate an influx of Wildcat fans.

Going Out With Friends? Catch a Wildcab!

Kentucky Wildcab, the University’s free, late-night on-demand student transportation service, is now in operation for the fall semester. This service provides free transportation for students from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Its primary goal is to support responsible late-night transportation decisions. It’s easy to catch a Wildcab, just download the UK Wildcab app on your smartphone and follow a few simple steps. Rides are limited to the general campus vicinity with the service area accommodating the majority of areas adjacent to campus.

Does Your Bike Need Some TLC? Check out Wildcat Wheels!

Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library (WWBL) is a nationally recognized educational resource for UK cyclists. It also offers free bike repair services for students, staff, and faculty! The shop is located on north campus, on the first floor of Blazer Dining. It’s manned by knowledgeable students who can assist and teach bicycle maintenance and repair.
