'Tis the Season...to Prevent Bike Theft

Did you know that theft of bicycles on campus is somewhat seasonal? Thefts tend to increase in the month or so prior to the end of academic breaks, according to the UK Police Department. A New Breed of Bird Has Landed on Campus

You may have already noticed that Bird e-scooters on campus have evolved, with the older model being replaced by a new version that’s more robust and heavier on extra features. Bird, UK’s preferred e-scooter vendor, recently swapped out its older version with its newest line, Bird Three. These scooters feature a variety of upgrades designed to make the scooters eco-friendlier and to heighten their appeal to both experienced and new riders. While the fleet number is smaller on campus during the winter, these Birds are expected to be available all season long.

Kentucky Clinic Garage Access on Saturday

UK HealthCare employees and visitors should expect delays while entering and exiting the Kentucky Clinic Garage (PS #3) on Saturday, Dec. 4. There may also be traffic delays on Huguelet Drive, just outside the entrance to the garage. Contractors will be working in these areas to repair the pavement. This work is expected to take one day, weather permitting.

KHSAA Football Championship Games are this Weekend

Kentucky high school state football championship games are scheduled for Friday, December 3, and Saturday, December 4, at Kroger Field. The games are not expected to have a significant impact on campus parking, as most students and employees will be on-site before football fans begin to arrive. However, campus bus service schedules will likely be impacted by the increase in traffic on Friday and Saturday.
